KEENE
Craig Kellem, a former Hollywood
writer and producer, will teach two
courses this spring at Keene State College
on script writing for film and television.
Offered by KSC's Continuing Education
Office, the courses will emphasize
practical approaches to developing,
writing, and marketing scripts.
Registration ends Monday, Jan. 8, for
"Writing for Hollywood, and What Else
You'll Need to Know," which will meet
Thursday evenings, beginning January 18,
from 6:30 to 9 pm. With an emphasis on
writing, the course begins with the
conception of ideas for movies and TV
shows and takes students through the
entire process up to opening night.
Kellem will offer "Writing and Selling TV
andFilm Scripts: An Easier Way" as
a

weekend
course on Friday and Saturday, April
12-13. In an effort to demystify the
process, he will guide students in script
writing and marketing techniques designed
to find producers in today's Hollywood
marketplace. Students may bring scripts in
progress. Registration for "Writing and
Selling TV and Film Scripts" continues
until the first class.
A former vice-president in charge of
comedy development at Universal
Television, Kellem has also served as
co-executive producer of the ABC-TV series
FBI: The Untold Stories. He has also
written four screenplays, as well as
episodes for several TV series. Kellem,
who now teaches writing at Lebanon
College, is a member of the Writers Guild
