3. Chennai-based techie Manoj Annadurai's debut feature film, Get Happy, has won USA's prestigious Remi Award, which recognizes excellence in independent films and filmmaking.

The film won the Gold Remi at the 49th WorldFest Houston International Film Festival this April. A movie buff and self-learner, Manoj had given up a lucrative career to pursue his passion for films.
Get Happy is an engaging story about life’s ups and downs, and how you will never fully appreciate the ups, unless you have some downs. The film has won more laurels too. It was also an official selection at the Montreal Film Festival.
The Remi Award has the distinction of recognising great talent and Manoj is in good company. Previous recipients include George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, the Coen Brothers and Ang Lee.
Manoj said, "We never expected this. It's a great recognition.”

GET Happy invited to Manhattan film festival and wins in Best Romantic Comedy Category

HOLLYWOODSCRIPT.COM is happy to announce that the film GET HAPPY, written by Tom Shipley, on which we consulted some time back (it also won our contest) has now been completed and had the honor of winning the Manhattan Film Festival in June 2015 in the category BEST ROMANTIC COMEDY.

We're particularly happy about this since we had the pleasure of introducing the production company to the material.

It's directed by a talented new, young director by the name of Manoj Annadural.
